Hi everyone, I am just seeing if anyone is thinking about ordering Matt Caldwell's new publication the Civil War Historian? From the descriptions and Website, it looks like a promising publication for those interested in accurate portrayals. Here is the basic Website for your review: www.civilwarhistorian.com/I plan on ordering a subscription before Christmas and for those looking for something for your list, this could be just the item that your relatives could afford. Merry Christmas, Tom

Guys,
As you can tell, I am getting caught up here. For my two cents, Matt's first two issues were great and I am looking forward to my next issue. Great articles on preservation, period vegetables, museum collections, federal issue contract work from the civilian perspective, and much more. If you have not sent in your money for this publication, I would highly urge you to do so.
And as for Camp Chase Gazette, I am still getting my last few issues as subscriber from the Nicky Hughes era, but this magazine has taken a terribly mainstream path ever since Nicky left and is pretty much a useless publication for most campaigners, progressives, or hardcores out there. Needless to say, I will not be renewing my subscription. My last issue took me all of five minutes to read. Pretty sad commentary on a once relatively decent publication.
Take care,
Tom
