Thanks to you Badger Staters for helping out the Kearny Guards at Recon2! The results are in, and Company A wins "Best Federal Company," part of helping the 140th PVI win "best battalion." There's no loving cup or trophy, but we all know who the best-looking and best-acting soldiers on the field were. Thanks to you Roops, Roopes, Stosniders and all the clan. You boys are always welcome with the Kearny Guards. How 'bout bringin' Weed back East next time as Company Commander? We'll serve under him anytime!

Bill- Thanks for your kind words. Glad our company won. With a company full of Roops, did you expect any less ? Weed is our company commander this weekend at Perryville (co. A 80th Ill). Thank goodness the AOP is feeding us from the battallion commisary rather than his haversack, at least we can survive to attend another event! Take care, Brad HHM

As Company Commander, all rations will have to pass my rigerous authenticity inspections. No dirt, coffee grounds, tobbacco on the salt port, not authentic enough, no weevels or mlod or any of the above mentioned delicacies on the hard tact, not good enough.
All food will have to be put into my haversack and then issued out by 1sgt Atkinson. Captain JM WEDEWARD

Hey, Weed! Why don't you round up the Hard Heads and the 33rders and come back to McDowell with our company? Heck, I'll even make you a corporal or something. Your friend, Bill Cross
