Andy-this sounds pretty cool. Any news to report? Is the site available? This event is barely a month away, so we have to make decisions pretty quickly here.
Keep me (and us) posted.

Chums, I apologize but there is not much more to report as far as the Tuttle farm. I contacted Scott, and he will talk to Doug. He's under allot of stress right now, so I feel for the poor guy! Scott hang in there! I am pretty confident that we will be able to use the property, expecially if we can make improvements on the trenches that are already there! I am thinking we could do a Petersburg or Vicksburg impression. If we can't round up enough Confeterates in time, we can always draw from our own ranks I think there are enough guys that have gear! Are we inviting Matt Lang and Lucas? Anyway, if we do invite anyone, it is such late notice that it will probaly be on a personal level, how bout Terry Storchy and his pards for Sesh? Tell me what you guys think, and I can try my best to get it aranged! I check this every day, so if you post it here, I will see it! Thanks Guys -Andrew-

Guys,
Sorry to rain on the parade but I talked to Doug this afternoon. The little bit of trench work that was there has been filled in because they are building new trenches somewhere near the Townsend area. The other problem is that Doug has to work that weekend. He would prefer to be there. We would also have to keep the noise down because his 4 year old goes to bed at 8:00pm and area we were looking at is within 200 yards of the house.
He has offered his place for drills if we need it but he would like to be there for the event.
Point of information: Doug's farm is a neat place but it is far from pristine and only occupies about 10 acres so it a tight fit for a good firper event.
Has someone checked with Mr. Frank? Please let know so I can get the Wade House request in if we need it.

Scott, Thanks for checking with Doug! Its too bad that it could'nt work out! But your idea for the wade house sounds like a good one! I would say go ahead and finalize any other details, that are still in the air! Remember, if you need any help im your man! Also, I think it would be very prudent to invite some confeterates to spend the night! It is far to late, to invite an entire unit, but im sure if you mentioned it to the hoggs or Terry! They could maybe find some guys who would be interested! I think it is do-able! Also we should find out what we can do as far as digging outposts, and other entrenchments! I think that nice....official looking....dug in.... outposts, could add ALLOT to the event! We have peroid shovels, and picks, and we could dig durring the day (or the night before, for those who want) OH...AND another Idea....Actually this one is yours! We could meet at a location in the morning, (like the parking lot or something) with the rebs doing the same at another location! Then when we arive at the pre-selected spot, we can use tactics designated for outposts in the presence of the enemy! If you want to give me a call, to discuss these further my number is (414) 229-7338 I'd love to hear from you! If there is anything else give me a holler! Thanks Scott -Andrew_

Hey Hard Heads,
The Wade House site sounds like a winner to me. I would suggest the following:
1. Scott and Andy, let us know what you need help with such as research on a impression, uniform requriments, tactics, rations, duty day schedule, etc. You have got eight other members to work with, lets use our combined efforts to pull this off.
2. As far as invitees, this event is for us and put on by us. Lets try to see how we do by keeping this relatively small. I would suggest invinting Lucas, Matt, and other gents that have serious interest in what being a member of the Hard Head Mess is like.
3. Confederates, Terry Sorchy or the Hoggs sound good here. Who is going to contact them for avalibility?
Well these are my humble opinions. E-mail me at hhmtom@charter.net if you have any comments or suggestions.
Yours in the cause,
Tom Klas

Andy,
Can you check with the Hoggs and Sorchy. Max number for either side should be 10-15 so lets keep it small.
If anyone else wants to further develop the schedule based on what I sent to everyone please do. I have to get some things ready for the Legion Post event on Sunday so the rest of my week will be pretty busy.
Anyone want to handle rations for the weekend???
I will send in the request to use the Wade House on that weekend.
Let me know.
Scott

Thank you to Scott and Andy for the footwork on this!
I'd be more than happy to take care of rations for this.
As I said in the email, we really need to nail down a scenario and impression for this. Once the site is set, I think thats our next priority. I can't think of anything off of the top of my head, but I'm sure some of you guys have some good ideas for our scenario.
