This weekend I mentioned to Tom and a few othe members of the mess, about a shop in Okalhoma that has a pretty nice slection of musket parts, here is the site. They do have a selection of parts for the Austrian Lorenz, If you scan down to the bottom of the home page, you will find a listing of all the different gun parts they offer. They list them by nationality type, and by weapon type. www.therifleshoppe.com/Hope this helps out. Pete

The Rifle Shoppe has a drawback or two you should be aware of before going forward. They sell rough castings, very rough! You will need a great deal of time and quite a bit of metal working skill to transport their parts into useful, needful things. Secondly, most all Austrian Lorenz model 1854's and other models of that empire were hand built. Each weapon was made of parts that are NOT interchangable with any other. Their work was good, but they lacked the Eli Whitnet to teach interchangability, they are worse than the British Enfield. The Rifle Shoppe is also rather slow in delivery, and the prices are steep. I speak from experience on all points. Steve Sullivan Ex-33rd Wisconsin
