Greetings 33rd Wisconsin Members,
Just a reminder that registration for the Citizens Guard's Minnesota Junction Preservation March and Fox Lake Depot Museum Living History slated for July 9-10 in Dodge County closes on Tuesday June 21st.
It is a relaxed preservation march and living history at historical locations in Dodge County hosted by the Citizens Guard – Company “A” 2d Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry. Length of the march is approximately 6.5 miles and a donation of $25.00 is required from each participant. Impression is of the Citizens Guard marching up Turner’s Gap at South Mountain, September 14th, 1862. Proceeds to benefit the Harriet O’Connell Historical Room in Fox Lake and the Friends of the South Mountain State Battlefield. Definitely an event for those who like to campaign, portray the Iron Brigade accurately, or to just be with some like-minded chums.
Many of the Hard Heads will be attending in fact Scott Frank and myself are the POC's for the event. If you are interested in attending, please contact myself by posting a message or by e-mail at fallriversoldier@hotmail.com I can send out our information packet, which has uniform and equipage standards and registration forms via e-mail or U.S. Postal Service.
Thanks for your consideration pards,
Tom
