Hello...! The 33rd Wisconsin has been invited to participate in an afternoon of Civil War history with the public on Sunday, February 13, 2005, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Our participation has always been well-received, and I hope will will be able to have members participate in this afternoon offering. Hoard Museum website: www.hoardmuseum.org/frame_main.htmThe Museum is located on U. S. 12 (Whitewater Ave.) in downtown Fort Atkinson. Follow Main Street south across the Rock River. Stay in the left lane and go two traffic lights. At the second light, Whitewater Ave. bears to your left. The museum is just two blocks past this intersection on your left. Parking is usually a challenge; and may be found on a side-street near the museum. Please contact me before February 13 if you are able to attend AND if you wish to present items for display and discussion. Many thanks! Hope to See you all on February 13th! Regards... Bob.

Will anyone from the 33rd be attending this event? Please contact me right away, or email braunwis@ticon.net Thanks...! Bob. SInce I have heard from only a couple of 33rd members (and thank you for your responses!! ) I can only assume that these respondants will be the ones to attend. I am and remain very grateful for their participation. Please be advised that, unless additional information is forthcoming to the contrary, I will likely inform the Museum that the 33rd is not interested in setting up a booth at this once-a-year afternoon event in 2006 and beyond. This will be terribly unfortunate, as the 33rd has been perennially very well recieved and appreciated by the Museum and its visitors. This was a positive venue, and a means by which to positively contrast our brand of reenacting to "other" brands. Believe me... our message came through loud and clear. And all we had to do is BE THERE and be US. Bob Braun.

My thanks to Dave Gerow, John Fritze, and Bob Lane for their kind attendance at this event. And my thanks to Andrew Braun for yet another sterling performance under the 'knife' of Doctor Bob Karczewski.
We had a nice booth and (among other things) ran a DVD of the Chickamauga event we did a few years back. It was surprisingly well received!
We had a great time... and would like to keep this event on the schedule for next year.
Best to all... Bob Braun.
