Hi pards,
Just a reminder that July is a busy month of local event offerings for us courtesy of the 33rd Wisconsin and the Citizens Guard.
We have the 4th of July Parade on Monday July 4th hosted by our chums with the 33rd Wisconsin.
Here is some information from Dave Gerow on the event.
Please join the 33d Wisconsin who will be marching in the 2005
Independence Day parade in Wauwatosa held on Monday July 4th.
This year we will meet before the march at 8:00 AM at the Wauwatosa
public Library parking lot. The address is 7635 West North Avenue.
This will help with the logistics after the march. We can then travel
in a few cars to the starting point at Mayfair Mall.
After the parade we will go to Brad and Angie Argue's home near the end
of the route for a cookout. Please bring a food item to share.
Please RSVP to Brad Argue or Dave Gerow so we can coordinate the food
items.
Bring 20 rounds and caps to fire during the parade. The impression will
be light marching order with 1858 pattern dress hats or forage caps,
and sack coats. Weed will bring the colors and carriers. Dave Gerow
will bring an infantry drum.
Also on July 8-10, the Citizens Guard is hosting a preservation march and living history in Dodge County. All registrations must be in no later than July 1st to participate and it looks like a fine event in the making.
Please contact Scott Frank or myself for further information.
Thanks pards and see you in Wauwautosa on July 4th bright and early and hopefully later that week in Dodge County for the Citizens Guard's Preservation March and Living History.
Hard Heads,
Tom
